What is
your hourly rate?
Our hourly rate is $375 per hour.
What is the amount of retainer you require?
This is variable, typically between $4000 and $6000 based on the
complexities of the case.
How much will my divorce cost?
This depends on the complexities of the case, the method of resolution and
what the other party decides to do.
How long have you been practicing family law?
I have been a family law attorney since 1980.
Can one attorney represent both parties?
No, because there are many ethical concerns about the attorney's ability to
act in both parties' best interest.
How soon can I be divorced?
It is not automatic, however the soonest is 6 months and a day from the
time the other party is served with the petition for divorce.
Do you do adoptions?
No I don't, but I may be able to offer you some referrals to attorneys that
do adoptions.
Do you do pre-nuptial agreements?
Yes, so long as I am contacted several months preceding the date of the
wedding.
What percent of your practice is devoted to family law?
Roughly 95% of my practice is family law, and a growing percentage of my
overall caseload is composed of collaborative law and mediation cases.
